Who is Annie?
Annie is Ann Siegle, a Michigan-based
graphic artist. Ann happens to love handbags...Annie's
Story - the inspiration
Annie's Journal:
October 2009: I'm back! I went off, finally successfully had a baby, a girl, who is now 2 1/2, and am ready to refresh the website and get more new patterns up. I have a total of five designs (two here, three more to come) that will come online before December!
July 26, 2006 Sorry
I've been a wee bit distracted with all these weddings!
Big news though, DH is constructing me a very nice sewing
cabinet/table and this should speed up the sewing sample
process. I make the sample and create the instructions
as I go along. MUCH progress expected in the next 2 weeks.
May
27, 2006 The
Diane Half Circle Handbag pattern is online and will
be available
for purchase this week at a special pre-launch price.
Coming soon, the Laura and the Debbie. These will be
up by
late June.
I have two weddings to attend, one in mid-June and one
in mid-July. Both need handbags ;)
Right now I plan to cut off the
bottom two feet of the Debbie dress for the Debbie handbag,
and the bottom two feet of the Laura dress for the Laura handbag.
I will also post the final version of the shorter Debbie dress
(strapless, red, with white raw-edge flowers with beaded centers
on the hem).
March 12, 2006 Annie
posts the first bag - a simple
reversible tote (great for beginners, or for making the
morning before you head out for your chic event for experienced
sewists).
I took this to Long Beach Grand
Prix and decided that the interfacing was much too light (see
my patterns page for the recommended interfacing and some
of my oops pictures). The best part about this is you get
to see that the designer often has oops moments too. But they're
fixable - and so are all of your oops moments too. I'll add
fusible fleece and vinyl tubing to the bag this week (June
1st) and put up photos then.
